Unified Data Management

Modern enterprises generate data across numerous platforms and applications.  Unified Data Management centralizes collaboration and messaging data into a single cloud-based archive.

Accurate and assessable data enables enterprises to make decisions quickly while preserving data integrity.

    The Problems

Housing data in multiple silos creates difficulties for organizations that must adhere to legal and regulatory standards because it is difficult to track retention and protect sensitive information.  Duplicate data being stored long term increases storage costs, a problem that is increased proportionally with user count. Data needs to be held in an intelligent system that stubs the data and points all instances of a particular document or attachment to a single source, instead of saving individual copies every time.

    Difficult to Access Data

Enterprise decision making is only as good as the data driving it, and it can be difficult to make intelligent decisions when information is difficult to access. Data needs to be accurate and accessible by relevant users across different departments and locations while being secured from unauthorized users or outsiders.

CaseCrafter ensures legal teams can identify, collect, and organize critical data efficiently, enabling better decision-making.

    Siloed Data Landscapes

Storing enterprise data across various isolated systems, often referred to as silos, significantly complicates the management of this data. This fragmentation poses challenges in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and ensuring robust security measures are in place.

Solutions like CaseCrafter streamline the identification and organization of fragmented data, reducing risk and enhancing compliance efforts.

    Cost of Leaver Licenses

User count is another concern because many cloud archives charge licenses per user, and companies including Microsoft and Veritas have begun to charge their customers license fees for every custodian who can be searched against, even if they have left the organization.

The resulting license fees will provide an exorbitant cost to many organizations. Housing data on an open storage platform will eliminate licensing costs.

    Limitations of Current Tools

Tools like Purview do not cover all of the data types required for compliance. Platforms like messaging and file system archives provide some gaps that must be addressed. Purview does not handle Hyperlinked Files in a compliant manner.

These files are editable by many custodians within an organization, are subject to alteration, may not be automatically placed on hold if created by another custodian, and need to be captured contemporaneously to achieve compliance.

    How We Help

Expireon allows enterprises to take data from across many different platforms including Slack, SharePoint, Teams, Enterprise Vault & Google Workspace, and store them all under a single pane of glass. It is able to assign each of these data sources to the correct custodian regardless of how many platforms they are on.

Data stored on Expireon is not licensed per custodian so enterprises won't be charged to search against users no longer there. Altogether, Expireon breaks down data silos which enhances compliance, strengthens security, reduces costs, and improves efficiency.

Cloudficient provides enterprises with the tools they can use to confidently manage data to improve decision making and empower a focus on innovation and growth.
